Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.005 to 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for general cutting with a universal grade suited to a wide range of machining conditions. The depth of cut upper limit of 0.197 in sets the maximum machining capacity. It is optimized for ISO material groups P30-P40 (steel) as the primary application, with secondary suitability for M20-M30 (stainless steel), K20-K25 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, including interrupted cuts, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling operations.
