Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for general cutting and universal grade applications. It is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P40 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary applicability to M20-M30 (stainless steel), K20-K25 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and interrupted cut suitability, making it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing operations but not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
