Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.009 to 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting operations. The insert is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P35 (steel) primarily, with secondary suitability for M20-M30 (stainless steel), K30 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for roughing and heavy interrupted cuts, especially in steel and cast iron. It is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
