Applications

Cutting speeds range from 492 to 3281 sfm with feeds between 0.002 and 0.020 in/rev and depths of cut up to 0.177 in. This insert supports continuous cutting operations within these parameters. The 1/64″ nose radius suits semi-finishing to medium machining with moderate feeds and light interrupted cuts. This insert is designed primarily for ISO material group N (Non-ferrous metals). Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing applications on thin-wall components and low-rigidity setups. Interrupted cutting is not recommended due to the positive rake and chipbreaker design.
