Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.003 and 0.008 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.091 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting with medium-low speed roughing conditions. The positive rake and 80° diamond shape provide a balance of strength and contouring ability. It is suitable primarily for ISO P25-P35 steel and secondarily for M25-M35 stainless steel. The insert’s positive rake geometry and chipbreaker design make it ideal for interrupted cuts but not for heavy roughing or severe interruptions. This insert excels in medium-low speed roughing applications where moderate edge strength is required.
