Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.010 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.276 in. It is suitable for general to interrupted cutting operations. The recommended depth of cut upper limit is 0.276 in. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P35 steel and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K30 cast iron, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, including interrupted cuts, but it is not suited for precision finishing or profiling.
