Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds up to 400 m/min, feeds ranging from 0.15 to 0.35 mm/rev, and depths of cut up to 4.0 mm. It is designed for medium to rough turning and facing operations, including heavy-duty interrupted cuts. It is suitable primarily for ISO P (steel and alloy steel) and ISO K (cast iron) materials. The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for production OD turning, facing of forgings and castings with scale, and boring in rigid setups, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling operations.
