Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.001 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.157 in. These parameters enable precise control for continuous cutting operations within the specified limits. The insert is designed primarily for ISO material group N, targeting non-ferrous metals. Its positive rake and 55° diamond shape provide excellent profiling clearance and low cutting forces, making it ideal for finishing tasks. However, it is not suitable for interrupted cuts or rough turning, especially in steel with scale or inclusions.
