Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 591 to 1115 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.028 to 0.056 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.600 in. Its robust design accommodates heavy roughing and interrupted cuts with a maximum depth of cut of 0.600 in. The insert is optimized for continuous cutting and high-speed general steel machining. It is designed primarily for ISO P10-P20 steel materials, making it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing operations. The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and stability, suitable for roughing and interrupted cuts but not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
