Applications

This TCMT turning insert supports cutting speeds up to 400 m/min, feed rates from 0.15 to 0.35 mm/rev, and depths of cut up to 4.0 mm. It is designed for semi-finishing to medium machining with moderate feeds and light interrupted cuts. It is suitable primarily for ISO groups P (steel) and M (stainless steel), with secondary applicability to ISO groups K (cast iron) and N (non-ferrous metals). The positive rake geometry and 60° point angle make it ideal for contour turning and profiling, but it is not recommended for rough turning or heavy interrupted cuts.
