Applications

This TNMG433-GR insert supports cutting depths of up to 0.157 inches (4.0 mm) and feed rates ranging from 0.006 to 0.014 inches per revolution (0.15 to 0.35 mm/rev). It is suitable for semi-finishing to medium machining operations with a nose radius of 3/64″ providing a balance of edge strength and surface finish. Designed primarily for ISO P (steel) and ISO K (cast iron) materials, it excels in medium-to-rough turning and boring applications. The negative rake chipbreaker and trigon shape enable use in general-purpose turning and occasional step turning or facing, but it is not recommended for very heavy interrupted cuts or fine finishing requiring tight tolerances.
