Applications

This CNMG643-VM NC5330 insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.006 to 0.028 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.276 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting applications, accommodating a wide range of machining conditions. It is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P35 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary capability in M20-M30 (stainless steel), K30 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, especially in steel and cast iron, with excellent performance in interrupted cuts and heavy-duty operations.
