Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.012 to 0.030 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.394 in. It is suitable for general to interrupted cutting operations with a maximum depth of cut of 0.394 in. The insert is designed for machining ISO groups P30-P35 (steel) primarily, with secondary applications in M20-M30 (stainless steel), K30 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for roughing and interrupted cuts in these materials, providing strong edge durability and high metal removal rates.
