Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.005 to 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It excels in general to interrupted cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 in. The insert is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P35 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary applicability to M20-M30 (stainless steel), K30 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). Its negative rake design and robust edge strength make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing operations, including interrupted cuts on steel and cast iron.
