Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.014 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.060 in. These parameters enable versatile medium to rough turning and facing operations with strong edge durability. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape excel in general to interrupted cutting conditions. It is suitable for ISO groups P30-P35 (steel) primarily, with secondary applications in M20-M30 (stainless steel), K30 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/Titanium). Its design favors roughing and interrupted cuts on steel and cast iron, including shoulder turning, but is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
