Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.009 to 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. These parameters enable robust medium to rough turning and facing operations. The 3/64″ nose radius suits semi-finishing to medium machining with moderate feeds and light interrupted cuts. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P40 steels, with secondary suitability for M20-M30 stainless steels, K20-K25 cast irons, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium alloys. Its negative rake and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and high metal removal rates, ideal for general cutting and interrupted cuts in rigid setups but not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
