Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.005 to 0.018 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.217 in. It is designed for continuous to general cutting operations within these parameters. The insert is suitable for machining ISO groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium), M10-M20 (Stainless steel), and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, especially in steel and stainless applications. The insert excels in heavy-duty, interrupted cuts and roughing operations but is not intended for precision finishing or profiling. This insert is best used in rigid setups where higher cutting forces can be managed effectively.
