Applications

This DNMA432 insert supports cutting speeds and feed rates typical for medium-small nose radii applications, with depth of cut up to 3.0 mm. Feed rates range from 0.08 to 0.25 mm per revolution, suitable for a balanced surface finish and edge strength. The 1/32″ nose radius enables versatile production turning with moderate chip loads. Designed primarily for ISO groups P and K, this insert excels in copy turning, profiling, and contouring of steel and cast iron. Its negative rake and chipbreaker characteristics suit continuous and general turning operations but are not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or very tight internal corners.
