Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 525 to 984 sfm, feeds from 0.012 to 0.030 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.394 in. It is designed for general cutting with a maximum depth of cut limit at 0.394 in. The insert is optimized for ISO material groups P20 to P25, primarily steel grades. Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it suitable for medium to rough turning and facing operations, including interrupted cuts. It excels in production OD turning, facing of forgings and castings with scale, and boring in rigid setups. This insert is not intended for precision finishing or profiling applications.
