Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.002 and 0.007 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.094 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting with medium to low speed roughing. It is suitable primarily for ISO P25-P35 steel and secondarily for ISO M25-M35 stainless steel. The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide good edge strength and contouring ability, but interrupted cutting capability is moderate, so heavy interrupted cuts should be avoided.
