Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.012 and 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.315 inches. It is designed for medium to low-speed roughing with general to interrupted cutting conditions. It is primarily suited for ISO P25-P35 steel and secondarily for M25-M35 stainless steel. The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for heavy roughing and interrupted cuts, providing excellent edge strength and high material removal rates, but it is not intended for finishing or profiling operations.
