Applications

This CCMT insert supports cutting speeds from 295 to 492 sfm, feeds between 0.003 and 0.009 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.094 in. It is designed for heavy interrupted cutting and roughing operations, handling robust machining conditions effectively. The positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape provide a balance of strength and contouring ability. It is optimized for ISO material group M25-M35, primarily stainless steel. This insert excels in heavy interrupted cuts and roughing applications but is not intended for fine finishing or light cuts. Its positive rake and chipbreaker design limit its use to continuous or heavy interrupted cutting rather than fine finishing or profiling.
