Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds from 0.005 to 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting with medium to low speed roughing conditions. The maximum depth of cut is 0.197 in, which should not be exceeded for optimal performance. It is suitable for ISO material groups P25-P35 (steel) as the primary range and M25-M35 (stainless steel) as secondary. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing operations, including interrupted cuts on steel and stainless steel, but it is not recommended for finishing or profiling applications.
