Applications

This DNMG432-VF insert supports cutting speeds and feeds typical for medium-small radius inserts, with depth of cut up to 3.0 mm. Feed rates range from 0.08 to 0.25 mm per revolution, suitable for a variety of turning operations within these parameters. The 1/32″ nose radius balances surface finish and edge strength for versatile use. Ideal for ISO P and ISO K materials, this insert excels in copy turning, profiling, and contouring of steel and cast iron. Its negative rake and 55° diamond shape provide good lead-angle flexibility and step turning capability. It is not recommended for heavy roughing with large interrupted cuts or very tight internal corner radii.
