Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds and feeds suitable for finishing and semi-finishing operations, with depth of cut up to 3.0 mm. Feed rates range from 0.08 to 0.25 mm/rev, accommodating typical medium-small radius applications. The 1/32″ nose radius balances surface finish quality with edge strength for versatile production use. Ideal for ISO groups P, M, and S, this insert excels in machining stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and aluminum. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it well-suited for continuous cutting in thin-wall components and low-rigidity setups. It is not recommended for heavy roughing or severe interrupted cuts.
