Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.004 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. The maximum depth of cut should not exceed 0.118 in to maintain optimal performance. It is designed for general cutting applications with a universal grade suitable for a range of materials. The PC5300 grade is optimized for ISO groups P30-P40 (steel) as the primary material and M20-M30 (stainless steel) as secondary. It also covers K20-K25 (cast iron) and S15-S25 (HRSA/Titanium). Due to its positive rake and 55° diamond shape, this insert is best suited for continuous cutting and finishing operations, avoiding interrupted cuts which may cause chipping or edge damage.
