Applications

This CCMT insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.006 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.091 in. These parameters suit finishing to light semi-finishing operations with a small 0.008″ nose radius for good surface finish and edge life. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P35 steels and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K30 cast iron, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium. The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape enable general to interrupted cutting, though heavy interrupted cuts should be avoided due to moderate interrupted cut suitability.
