Applications

This TNMG432-VM PC5300 insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.260 in. It is designed for general cutting and universal grade applications, making it suitable for a wide range of machining tasks. It is optimized for ISO material groups P30-P40 (steel) as primary and M20-M30 (stainless steel) as secondary, with additional capability in K20-K25 (cast iron) and S15-S25 (HRSA/Titanium). The negative rake chipbreaker and trigon shape favor medium-to-roughing cuts and contouring but are not recommended for very heavy interrupted cuts or fine finishing to tight tolerances.
