Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 295 to 492 sfm, feeds between 0.009 and 0.014 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.142 in. It is designed for heavy interrupted cutting and roughing operations. The 1/32″ nose radius balances edge strength and surface finish for versatile production use. It is optimized for ISO M25-M35 stainless steel materials. The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide low cutting forces suitable for thin-wall workpieces and low-rigidity setups. However, it is not recommended for severe interrupted cuts or heavy roughing on hard scale or castings.
