Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.031 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.217 in. It is designed for continuous cutting operations with a maximum depth of cut of 0.217 in. The insert is optimized for ISO material group N, which covers non-ferrous metals. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing applications, especially on thin-wall workpieces and low-rigidity setups. Interrupted cutting is not recommended due to the positive rake chipbreaker and continuous cutting application limitation.
