Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds ranging between 0.012 and 0.028 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.315 inches. These parameters enable medium to low-speed roughing with general to interrupted cutting conditions. It is designed primarily for ISO P25-P35 steel and secondarily for M25-M35 stainless steel. The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for robust interrupted cuts and rough turning, but it is not suited for fine finishing or profiling operations.
