Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.009 and 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 inches. These parameters accommodate medium to low-speed roughing operations with general to interrupted cutting conditions. It is designed primarily for ISO P25-P35 steels and secondarily for M25-M35 stainless steels. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for interrupted cuts and roughing in steel and stainless steel, but it is not suited for fine finishing or profiling operations.
