Applications

This VNMG insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.157 in. Its medium-small 1/32″ nose radius balances surface finish with edge strength for versatile general cutting. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P40 steel and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K20-K25 cast iron, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium. The negative rake chipbreaker and 35° diamond shape make it ideal for general cutting but unsuitable for interrupted cuts or roughing operations.
