Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 295 to 492 sfm, feeds between 0.009 and 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is designed for heavy interrupted cutting and roughing operations, handling robust machining conditions effectively. The 3/64″ nose radius balances edge strength with moderate feed capability for semi-finishing to medium machining. It is optimized for stainless steel materials within ISO groups M25 to M35. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust edge make it ideal for heavy interrupted cuts and roughing in these materials, but it is not suitable for fine finishing or profiling. Its application envelope excludes thin-wall or low-rigidity setups due to higher cutting forces.
