Applications

Cutting speeds range from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. This insert supports a versatile range of general cutting operations within these parameters. The 1/32″ nose radius balances surface finish and edge strength for medium-small radius applications. This DNMG insert is suitable for ISO groups P30-P40 (steel) as the primary material and M20-M30 (stainless steel) as secondary. It also supports K20-K25 (cast iron) and S15-S25 (HRSA/Titanium) within a general cutting, universal grade envelope. Negative rake and chipbreaker design favor continuous and stable cuts, making it unsuitable for heavy interrupted cutting.
