Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 295 to 492 sfm, feeds between 0.003 and 0.009 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for heavy interrupted cutting and roughing operations within these parameters. The positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape accommodate moderate feeds and depths while maintaining edge strength with a 1/64″ nose radius. Targeted for ISO material groups M25 to M35, this insert excels primarily in stainless steel machining. Its application envelope suits heavy interrupted cutting and roughing, providing reliable performance in demanding conditions while avoiding fine finishing or light continuous cuts.
