Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.001 to 0.018 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.157 in. Its small 0.008″ nose radius is ideal for finishing to light semi-finishing operations with a depth of cut limit of 0.157 in. Designed for ISO material group N (Non-ferrous metals), this insert excels in continuous cutting applications. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape provide low cutting forces suitable for thin-wall workpieces and low-rigidity setups. Interrupted cutting is not supported due to the positive rake and finishing chipbreaker design.
