Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds from 0.003 to 0.009 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.094 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting and medium-low speed roughing operations. The maximum depth of cut is 0.094 in, which should not be exceeded for optimal performance. It is suitable primarily for ISO P25-P35 steel and secondarily for M25-M35 stainless steel. The positive rake geometry combined with the chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape enables effective machining in both continuous and interrupted cuts, with a focus on medium to low speed roughing conditions.
