Applications

This DCGT insert operates effectively within cutting speeds of 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.236 in. These parameters support continuous cutting operations with a positive rake chipbreaker designed for smooth material removal. The insert is optimized for ISO N materials, primarily non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper. It is well suited for finishing and profiling tasks, delivering excellent clearance and low cutting forces. Interrupted cutting is not recommended due to the insert’s positive rake and chipbreaker design. This insert excels in copy turning and contouring applications where precision and surface finish are critical.
