Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds between 0.005 and 0.018 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.217 in. These parameters enable versatile continuous to general cutting operations with a maximum depth of cut of 0.217 in. It is designed primarily for machining ISO groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) and M10-M20 (Stainless steel), with secondary suitability for H05-H10 (Hardened steel). The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, including interrupted cuts, but it is not intended for precision finishing or profiling.
