This insert supports cutting speeds from 410 to 771 sfm, feeds from 0.006 to 0.016 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. These parameters enable robust general cutting operations with a focus on medium to rough turning and facing. The 1/32″ nose radius balances surface finish and edge strength for versatile production use. Designed primarily for ISO P20-P25 steel, this insert excels in roughing and interrupted cuts due to its negative rake and strong edge. It is well suited for shoulder turning and heavy interrupted entries in rigid setups but is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling operations.
